Most minor injuries or illnesses can be better treated at home with a well stocked medical cabinet and plenty of rest. Some self care essentials are; paracetamol, anti-diarrhoea medicines, re-hydration mixtures and a thermometer.
As well as dispensing prescriptions your local pharmacist can give you lots of advice on common conditions such as aches, colds, sore throats, skin conditions, allergies and rashes. You’re nearest extended hours pharmacies are:

Evenings and Weekend Doctors
Access to a GP is available when your surgery is closed. If you require medical assistance when the practice is closed during the evenings, at weekends or over a bank holiday period, you can call your evening and weekend provider on 111 or SDUC – Staffordshire Doctors urgent Care on 0300 7900246. This service is staffed by local GP’s to ensure that all registered patients have 24/7 medical cover.
